Acerca de la UNMD
La Universidad Nacional Médica de Donetsk «UNMD» es la mejor y más grande universidad médica de Europa del Este. La Universidad Nacional Médica de Donetsk «UNMD» se estableció en 1930 como el Instituto Médico de Donetsk con el nombre de M. Gorky. Después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, el Instituto pasó a llamarse el Instituto Médico de Stálino. En 1967, el instituto pasó a llamarse nuevamente el Instituto Estatal Médico de Donetsk con el nombre de M. Gorky. En 1994, la UNMD obtuvo el estatus de Universidad y en 2008 la UNMD obtuvo el estatus de Universidad Nacional de Medicina y se renombró a la Universidad Nacional Médica de Donetsk con el nombre de M. Gorky. En 2015, según el orden del Ministerio de Salud de Descomunización, el nombre de la universidad se cambió a la UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL MÉDICA DE DONETSK.
La UNMD es considerada una de las mejores escuelas de medicina en Ucrania y en toda Europa.
La Universidad es conocida como la UNMD y es el nombre abreviado de la Universidad Nacional Médica de Donetsk.

Discurso del RECTOR
Siendo el Rector de la Instutición Médica Superior de Ucrania, la Universidad Nacional Médica de Donetsk, me gustaría felicitar a cada uno de ustedes por elegir la medicina como su carrera.
Me gustaría recordarles que la Medicina es notable por su estricto profesionalismo, disciplina y práctica rigurosa. El cuerpo humano es una máquina maravillosa con muchos sistemas diversos que nunca será reproducida artificialmente.
Tengo el placer de darles la bienvenida a la mejor escuela de medicina de Ucrania y Europa del Este y a una de las universidades médicas más grandes y antiguas de Europa - “la Universidad Nacional Médica de Donetsk”.
